The use of the flame spray surface treatment allows the spraying over a wide variety of metallic or ceramic coatings on to a large number of component materials where good wear resistance and better impact resistance are required
Flame spraying uses the high temperature from the combustion of fuel gas, usually, acetylene or propane and oxygen, to melt the flame spray gun coating. In this process, a burnt, usually a powder and wire, is heated and move onto a substrate to make a surface coating.
