Grit blasting cabinet is fundamentally a closed sphere mechanism, which allows the operator to explode the abrasive and reprocess it. A grit blasting cabinet is a cabinet consisting of many components used for blasting the substrate surface. Abrasive blasting is a process in which blasting abrasives is sand. A blasting cabinet is a cabinet having in one feature.
Grit blasting is a process in which blasting abrasives is grit. Grit blasting Cabinet is a cabinet having all-in-one features. Grit blast Cabinet we use this cabinet only for abrasives like 30/60 Mesh, Steel grit, Aluminum grit, etc. That is used for blasting on the surface of the substrate. Cabinet eliminates the requirement of safety equipment because the cabinet protects the operator from the microparticles of abrasive. There is no difference between the cabinet like Grit Blast Cabinet, Sand Blaster Machine, Shot Blasting Machine. Cabinet differs only on behalf of Pressure, Wet & Suction Blasting Cabinet. In front of the cabinet, it has a two-hole section in which we can put hands into gauntlets that have gloves for a blasting workpiece. Cabinet consists of a closed package of Dust collector, Grit blasting Machine, Gloves, Grit blasting Hopper, etc.

Grit Blasting Cabinet Equipments
Grit blasting cabinet typically consists of four equipment which are:
- Abrasive blasting system
- Blasting Cabinet
- Dust collector
- Abrasive recycling system
The blasting process involves blasts of the abrasive media parts inside the cabinet, and outside the cabinet, the operator put his hands in the gloves which are attached to glove holes on the cabinet.
The operator through the view window views the part while turning the blast on and off with the use of a foot pedal or treadle.
Robotic or automatic blasts cabinets are also used to conduct the blasting process where the components are present in large amounts. The mechanism may slot in many sand blasting nozzles and a part of the conveyance system.
Grit Blast Cabinets Types
Characteristically there are three systems used in a grit blast cabinet. Out of which two are dry and one is wet. Here is a look at it:
- Suction Blast Cabinet System also known as Siphon Blast System is a dry process where the compressed air is used to create a vacuum in a blast gun. The negative force then lugs in the abrasive mix to the blast gun from where compressed air takes the abrasive towards the workpiece through a nozzle.
- Another is the Pressure Blast System, where the abrasive is placed in the pressure vessel and is sealed then. The vessel is pressurized with the same pressure as the blast hose is, which is attached at the bottom of the pressure vessel. The abrasive mix is put into the blast hose and compressed gases carry it through the blast nozzle towards the surface. It is also a dry process.
- Wet Blast Cabinets as the very name recommends, is a wet process. Wet blast cabinet uses the system where the abrasive mix or liquid slurry is inserted into a compressed gas stream. The wet blasting process is classically used only when the heat produced through friction in the dry blasting process would damage the part.
NOTE: Cabinet includes a complete package of Machines, all equipment required for abrasive blasting & it eliminates the requirement of safety equipment.
